Wedding is drawing nearer and I am starting to dread all the logistics that comes along.
To make matters worse, the costs are killing us!
Even things like printing wedding cards sets us back by a hundred over dollars..arghhh...
Yes, it's painful to get married and have no penny to your name..
You literally start from ground zero when it comes to savings..
Coz the house and wedding can cost as much as $100k...
Even things like honeymoon will have to be put on hold...
I even joked with my friends that I will go to JB for 10d 9n for honeymoon! hahhahaa...
But well, at least I can proudly say that the wedding and house is entirely paid by both of us...
As for honeymoon, we would of coz love to go somewhere far like Europe or something...
But as loml always say, 沒有這樣大的頭, 不要戴這樣大的帽..
We shall always live within our means..
I am rather thankful that he is always there to point out all these things to me in case I get carried away...
If there is no honeymoon, then so be it..
I would rather do without it than to get money from my parents...
They need the money for their old age...
In any case, I have yet to fulfill my promise to bring my entire family on a trip..
Hopefully I can really bring them to Taiwan next yr!
We shall see, but it very much depends on my bonus...
Which is gonna be pathetic I heard..
Well, now that the financial market is topsy-turvy, I should just be thankful that I have a job to keep!
Ok, realised this is like my 3rd post for tonight..
Starting to get tired!
Nights bloggerville! :)

Looking through my 27th birthday album, I can't help but feel super grateful..
For having the sweetest fiance, family, friends and in-laws! :)
They are really a bunch that I never, ever wanna lose!
Decided to jot down all the celebrations in my blog, so that they will form part of my wonderful memories since I have the habit of reading my old blog posts..
Prior to my actual bday, the garden peeps decided to throw a surprise brunch for me at Graze @ Martin Road.
Absolutely love the brunch there!
Coupled with the loveliest people in my life, what more can I ask for?

Bro had decided to treat the entire family to dinner for my bday celebration.
It may not be held at a lavish restaurant, but I am equally touched.
Nothing beats quality family time. :)

Not to forget the dearest person in my life! LOML!
After the proposal, he brought me to Universal Studios whereby we had a whale of a time there...
We sat on our first rollercoaster ride and behaved like 7 yr old kids there! :)
And the day ended witha nap and melben crabs! my fave! :)

I am always a strong believer that marriage should be a union of two families...
And that both husband and wife should make an extra effort to get along well with the in-laws...
Thus, I am super glad that my in-laws are super easy-going and fun to hang out with!
Joey and Cheryl did a video for me, which I can't upload unfortunately..:(
And they also surprised me with a cake!

And..there's my greatest greatest guy pal Tun and his gf, Xiuyu!
Absolutely love this couple coz they just look so gd tog!
Unfortunately stupid gel forgot to take pictures with them at Tao Restaurant the other day...:(
Life is not a bed of roses, but these people certainly added all 7 colors of the rainbow to my life! :)

Just recalled that I have not penned down what went on during THE PROPOSAL...
one which I have not even expected..
resolved to do this albeit my eye hurts like shit..
but thought it would be a fond memory when i read through my blog in future...
anyway, it all started with me being crazy over finishing the wedding montage on 20 Sep 11's night..
I slept at 2ish am..
and was told I need to wake up at 5am...
for my planned 27th bday celebration...
so I did as I was told..
got changed and was brought to Changi Beach in the car (with my eyes half-droopy of course!)
loml told me that changi beach is one of the best places to view sunrise (something which I have been meaning for both of us to do)...
BUT the weather did not co-operate a teeny weeny bit at all...
it was cloudy and hazy...with no single ray of sunshine..BAD LUCK!
and so i thought that was it...
let's just head for breakfast already!
then loml told me we should head for a walk since we are there already..
he started reminiscing our 10 days together, saying that things have not been easy..
which I very well agreed...
then here comes the interesting part...
it started with a kiss (with the waves behind us..nice!)...
and he knelt down and took out the ring box!!
i was startled and started to tear madly!
"will you marry me?" he asked...
I was still in shock and did not answer....
"will you marry me?" he popped the question again...
"of course!' i answered...
although we were already done with the wedding photoshoot, halfway through our house renovations and are getting married in 2+ months' time; and my answer would be a definite yes...
I am still super touched that loml made the effort to save and buy me a ring..
and popped the question nonetheless...
even though I told him not to, given that we are so squeezed financially with the wedding and the house...
Deep down in my heart, it's really him that matters the most...
and I will never wanna lose him again...
